The will to survive

The dark black rider´s were coming
    over the hills
    bringing the flames of hell
the soldiers didn´t waste any time
they were leaving a trace of blood and tears
then there lied smoke and quietness
I stood beside, praying God what´s going on?

Have you heared the news today?
    there´s another civilwar
tell me do you really feel something inside?
does it really have to be all the bodies and blood on TV
to make you say: No, I can´t stand it anymore?
you stood beside, praying God what´s going on?

two million souls are groaning tonight and every day
but everybody´s hiding his eyes
to them there´s nothing left; yeah nothing but
the will to survive.

Once upon a time I thought
someday there will be peace for all
but I didn´t find what I was looking for
raising my hands up to the sky
    helpless like a child
and it seems like there will be no end
We stand beside praying God what´s going on?

Don´t you think there´s more to do
than a prayer on christmas day?
perhaps spending two more tears
don´t look away ´cause there maybe come a day
when you are down, bleeding out, crying, but all the others gonna look away.

two million souls are groaning tonight and every day
but everybody´s hiding his eyes
to them there´s nothing left; yeah nothing but
the will to survive
